Thame, a Traditional Market Town and Civil Parish in Oxfordshire, England
Thame is a civil parish and a market town in Oxfordshire County, England. It got its name from the River Thame flowing along the north side of town. The hamlet of Moreton is included in the parish. As per records, it was Wulfhere, the King of the Mercians who founded the town and for centuries managed by the church. Ownership transferred from bishop to bishop but the real power rested in the hands of the farmers.
