Whitchurch, a Civil Parish and Village in the Vale of Aylesbury District of Buckinghamshire, England
Whitchurch is a village of around 374 homes and 932 people, and a civil parish in the Vale of Aylesbury district in the English county of Buckinghamshire. Itis about 4 miles north of Aylesbury, and 4.5 miles south of Winslow on the A413 road which leads to Buckingham 12 miles away. The village is located on the escarpment with a dominant view of the Vale of Aylesbury and the Chiltern Hills from afar. It is set amidst pastures and some of the most arable land in the area.

Things to See and Do in Whitchurch
Many of the houses and cottages in the village have historical importance. The Old House in Church Headland Lane and The Priory in the High Street are both 15th Century timber-framed houses built with a jetty or overhang on the first floor using the jettying technique of medieval buildings. At present, the Priory has been converted into a hotel.
The Bolebec or Bolbec Castle built in the 12 Century no longer exists, but the site where it was built called the Castle Hill or Moat Hill is still very much present. It still has the Fair Alice spring, the Parks to the South and West and the Lords Garden to the East of the mound.
The Firs is another notable building in the village. It is used as an ordinary commercial and business offices now, but during the Second World War, it played a vital role. It was utilised by the Churchill’s Toyshop,” a name given to the Ministry of Defense, for developing and testing weapons.
