It is a town that was formerly a parish in the county of Middlesex which covers the neighbouring areas of South Ruislip, Northwood, Eastcote and Ruislip Manor. Things to See and Do in Ruislip
The village square is one of the town’s well-known landmark, here tourists will find two of its listed buildings, the Swan Pub and the Duck House restaurant. To the north of its high street, is Manor Farm, another Landmark of the town that incorporates the remains of settlements dating back to the 9th century, as well as buildings including the Great Barn, dated by English Heritage as having been built around 1280. Then the Lido, a nineteenth-century reservoir with an artificial sand beach which is surrounded by woodlands where the Lido Railway runs through. The Lido Railway is a miniature 12" gauge railway with diesel and steam locomotives.
