The town of Droitwich Spa is more commonly known as Down, or only Droitwich is on the River Salwarpe in North Worcestershire, England. It is approximately 5 miles away from the county town of Worcester.
This is a town that sits on a deposit of salt. Thus, salt has been mined from this town since the ancient times. It is said that the natural brine from Droitwich is ten times saltier than seawater and is only challenged by the water of the Dead Sea.
