Milton Keynes, a Large New Town in the English County of Buckinghamshire
Milton Keynes, locally addressed as MK, is a large town in the English County of Buckinghamshire located 45 miles north-west of London, and the administrative centre of the Borough of Milton Keynes. It was formally named a “new town” on January 23, 1967, to include the towns of Stony Stratford, Wolverton and Bletchley together with fifteen more farmlands and villages in between. The new town derived its name from the existing village, several miles east of the planned centre.

As this town, the new city turns 50 this year we see an urban paradise of 22 million shrubs and trees, with numerous waterfronts, three ancient woodlands, 186 miles of cycling paths, and 200 public works of art. Worthy of a special mention and a “must visit” in MK is the Bletchley Park, the home of the World War II codebreakers as well as the town’s Museum where it bygones can be re-experienced in the interactive displays, brilliant recreation and amazing stories about the past.
