Epping, a Civil Parish and Market Town in the Epping Forest District of the English County of Essex
The market town of Epping in the Epping Forest District of the English County of Essex is also a civil parish. It is 3 miles northeast of Loughton, 5 miles south of Harlow and 11 miles north-west of Brentwood.
Despite being the end station of the Central Line of the London Underground, it has maintained its rustic ambience mainly because it is set amidst working farmlands and the Epping Forest. It has also kept its weekly Monday market that dates back to 1253 and preserves many timeworn buildings, several of which are Grade I and II listed buildings.
