Quedgeley, a Civil Parish and Suburb of Gloucester in the English County of Gloucestershire
Quedgeley is the only civil parish in the city of Gloucester. It is a suburban community lying on the left bank of the River Severn 3.5 miles south-west of the city of Gloucester, England. It is also the only parish as well as the outermost and largest southern suburb of the city. Its neighbour to the south is the village of Hardwick in the Stroud District.The eastern boundary of the parish follows a brook occasionally called the Qued Brook for a mile, while the western boundary is marked by Dimor/Fisher’s Brook and the River Severn.

The Miller & Carter Steakhouse, one of the best steakhouses in Gloucestershire in the parish. Together with Quedgeley Tandori, an Indian restaurant and Bumble Bee, a traditional English pub, they constitute the three eating places in this town. With regards guest accommodation, the town has two hotels, The Little Thatch Inn and The Orchard Hotel, and one B&B, the Friar’s Tuck.
Things to See and Do in Quedgeley
The old houses in this village are timber-framed with thatched roofs set into ones or twos along the road. Examples of these great houses include the Quedgeley Manor Farm, The Little Thatch Inn which was formerly called Queen Anne’s Farm, and Read’s Farm. The Manor Farm is located a half mile south-east of the church and Netheridge. The Little Thatch Inn is one of the oldest building in all of Gloucestershire, having been built in 1351 but has retained its old - world charm and character.
Read’s Farm, on the other hand, is a small two storey gabled, thatched and a timber-framed house built on an L-shaped plan. In the 19th Century, the house was enlarged and was used as a restaurant in 1967.
