Tetbury, a Civil Parish and a Small Town Within the Cotswold District in the English County of Gloucestershire.
Tetbury is a civil parish and small town in the Gloucestershire Cotswold. It sits on the site of an ancient hill fort where the Tetta’s Monastery, an Anglo-Saxon Monastery, was established in 681 as mentioned in a charter by King Ethelred of Mercia. This small town used to be a major market town for Cotswold wool trade in the Middle Ages. In fact, the impressive pillared Market House built in 1655 still dominates the town centre up to the present time.
