Hatfield is a civil parish and town in the Welwyn Hatfield borough in the English County of Hertfordshire. The original settlement of this town is Saxon, and the heart of the old town is Hatfield House, Marquess of Salisbury’s home.It is one of the new towns that developed around London. Thus its architecture has a modern approach to it.
The town is 20 miles north of London and is connected to the capital by the A1 road as well as direct trains to King’s Cross, Moorgate and Finsbury Park. This resulted in an influx of residents commuting to work in London. This town is also the home of the University of Hertfordshire.The manufacture and design of aircraft have been the town’s industry from the time de Havilland opened a factory in the 1930s until the time British Aerospace folded up in the 1990s.

This town is the centre of retail therapy in the area. The Galleria Outlet Centre has 80 shops of well-known brands plus some eateries. Things to See and do in Hatfield
“The House” and Garden are the main attraction of this town. This Elizabethan house is now a park, and the house and garden are open to tourists. The Mill Green Museum and Mill is also a place of interest here. It is not only a museum but an 18th Century working Water Mill. On the west side of The House lies the Park Farm where animals are shown in their original countryside setting.
