Hertford, the County Town of Hertfordshire, England
Hertford is the county town of the English County of Hertfordshire as well as a civil parish and market town in the district of East Hertfordshire, considered as one of the most desirable areas in the UK. The history of the town can be traced back from the 10th Century. It lies at the point where four rivers come together; the rivers Lea, Mimram, Beane and Rib, to flow south toward the River Thames. Hartham Commons is the shared valley of Beane and Lea which forms as a large park located at one side of the town centre extending towards Ware and sitting below the ridge where Bengeo is.

The Bircherley Green Shopping Centre has been the principal shopping centre of Hertford for the last 30 decades. There are plans to rehabilitate the place to make it more responsive to the needs of present-day shoppers. This town hosts over eighty places to eat and dine out. Things to See and Do in Hertford
The Museum and the mighty Castle are two of the most interesting places to see in Hertford. The Museum is a local history museum housed in a 17th Century house with a Jacobean knot garden. The Castle was an old Norman castle that now houses the offices of the town council. The Bayfordbury Observatory, one of the largest teaching observatories in the UK, is also a popular place for visitors. The town also has a string of exciting and informative hiking and cycle routes.
