Letchworth is a town in the English County of Hertfordshire. Officially, the town’s name is Letchworth Garden City. It is the world’s first garden city and one of the world’s first new towns and therefore has a great impact in planning future new towns and cities such as the Welwyn Garden City and even around the world. Canberra in Australia, Tapanila in Finland, Hellerau in Germany, and Mezaparks in Latvia were all planned using the same approach used for this town. It is also where the first roundabout in the UK built in 1909 can be found.

Walking or biking around the 13 miles of quality paths encircling the Garden City is one of the most exciting things to do in Letchworth with a view of the countryside, villages and woods. Along the road is the Standalone Farm, a great place for children. There are also several art galleries, parks, a military museum and a speciality museum that are of particular interest to guests. The Norton Common is also ideal for picnics and walks.
