Shopping in Nuneaton
The opening of the multi-million pound Ropewalk Shopping Centre on 1 September 2005 was considered one of the most important events in the town’s history. It is hoped that the new shopping centre will attract more retailers and visitors, boost the town’s income, and draw shoppers away from Solihull, Leicester, Coventry and Birmingham which are larger retail centres. More shopping is also available at the Abbeygate Shopping Centre, an older shopping centre in the heart of town. Holland & Barrett, a chain of health food shops, has its headquarters in the town while the national distribution centres of RS Components and Dairy Crest are located in Bermuda Park in the south of town. Nuneaton is also home to various international online marketing companies.
