Redditch, a Local Government District and Town in the North-East County of Worcestershire, England
The town of Redditch in the north-east Worcestershire County in England is also a local government district and is around 15 miles south of Birmingham. In the 19th Century, it became the international hub for the fishing tackle and needle industry. Once, the town and its neighbours manufactured 90% of all the needles in the world. Locally, the town is called "The Ditch", and it became a modern new town housing model in the 1980s.

The contemporary Kingfisher Shopping Centre is a large covered shopping centre ranked 20th out of 100 shopping centres in the UK. It boasts of 150 stores mainly high street names with Primark and Debenhams as anchor tenants. There is also a retail market or flea market and an antique store along Church Road.

Things to See and Do in Redditch
Redditch boasts of several historic sites. There is a remnant of the Moons Moat, a medieval moated settlement found in Church Hill estate. There is also the ruins of Bordesley Abbey and the National Needle Museum which are both located in the Abbey Ward district. The Edwardian Palace Theater housed in a 1913 building which showcases live music, dramas, musicals, stand-ups and dances is a favourite destination. So is the Church Green conservation area where St Stephen Church stands.
