Worcester, a City in the English County of Worcestershire
The city of Worcester is in the county of Worcestershire, England. The Worcester Cathedral dominates this city centre which is flanked by the River Severn on the western side. It is 31 miles south-west of Birmingham and 27 miles north of Gloucester. It is a beautiful University and Cathedral City with an interesting history of fascinating architecture, wealth, industry, incomparable selection of independent boutiques, high street names and a colourful programme of events.

The three top covered shopping centres in the city are the CrownGate Shopping Centre, the Reindeer Court and the Cathedral Plaza. The Cathedral is the most famous landmark of the city. It is one of the most beautiful cathedrals in England complete with gorgeous Victorian stained glass, a medieval cloister, the royal tomb of King John, the age-old St Wulfstan’s crypt and an early 12th Century Chapter House. The Cathedral Library is one of the most substantial libraries of medieval music and books in the world. In addition to the Cathedral and Library, other historic sites and landmarks are favourite haunts of tourists in this area such as the Grey Friars House and Garden, The Commandery and the Guildhall.
