The picturesque market town of Pershore which is located on the banks of the River Avon is in the English County of Worcestershire in the Wychavon district. The town is included in the West Worcestershire parliamentary constituency and is famously known for the College, Abbey and the locally grown pears and plums. It is 6 miles east of Upton-upon-Severn and 6 miles west of Evesham in the Vale of Evesham, a region known for its abundant vegetable and fruit production. It adjoins the A44 halfway from Worcester to Evesham.

The main high street of Pershore has many independent food and retail outlets. There are also two supermarkets, one on the outskirt of town and another in town. It also has the Retail market and several specialist shops.

Diners have not only a respectable choice of places to eat but also an extensive selection of what to eat; from Italian, traditional English, European, Asian, Thai, Chinese cuisine to home-cooked, vegetarian, gluten-free meals.
Things to See and Do in Pershore
The town boasts of many elegant buildings of Georgian architecture, so much so, that the town was included by the Council of British Archaeology in the 1964 list of 51 British “Gem Towns” deserving of special consideration for heritage preservation. It has also been catalogued as an outstanding area of conservation. One such elegant structure is the 11th Century abbey which is built in a large expanse of public grassland near the town centre.
At the Abbey Park, there is a children’s play area, a bowls club, and a skateboard park complete with a street section and mini ramp. Approximately half a mile outside of town is the Old Bridge spanning the River Avon.
