Cheltenham is a borough and spa town located at the edge of one of England’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the Cotswold, in Gloucestershire County, England. It is more popularly known as Cheltenham Spa. It has been a holiday and health spa resort town since a mineral spring had been discovered in the area in 1716. It was conceived as a health and pleasure resort for the wealthy in the 18th and 19th Century. It also has a large number of internationally famous schools. Thus, the motto of this town is Salubritas et Eruditio translated into “health and education”.

Visitors come to this lovely spa town also for the year-round festivals and events that it hosts which include the Jazz Festival, Literature Festival, Science Festival, Music Festival and the Food & Drink Festival. And of course, there’s the Cheltenham Festival for the most awaited Gold Cup Steeplechase which happens every month of March.
