Sherborne is a linear village and civil parish east of the market town of Northleach in the English county of Gloucestershire. It extends more than a mile on the Brook Valley. Sherborne Brooke is a tributary of the River Windrush. The name of the village was first mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as “Scireburne” which means “bright stream” referring to the Brook.

Other than that, the nearest place for shopping is Stow-on-the-Wold. With regards eating out, it has one restaurant, The Kings Arms, one fish and chips shop and a tea room. Things to See and Do in Sherborne
The present parish church of Saint Mary Magdalene with a spire and bell tower built in late 13th or early 14th Century found in the centre of the village is a place of interest. It sits beside the House built by Thomas Dulton after he bought the manor in 1551. At present, it maintains some remnants of 16th and 17th Century deer park. The current gardens surrounding the house with a landscaped park and pleasure grounds is almost 6 hectares big.
For more things to see and do, residents and visitors alike need to travel a short distance to Cheltenham, Bourton-on-the-Water or Burford.
