The town of Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire County in England is part of the Central Bedfordshire District for local government purposes. It lies between Milton Keynes and Luton close to the Chiltern Hills as it adjoins Linslade. Leighton is administered together with Linslade as the Leighton-Linslade civil parish.
One thing that made this town famous was the opening of the Grand Union Canal there. The town was also noted for the Light Railway, a railway that operated in a narrow gauge track.

Another interesting place to be, especially for children, is the town centre with its Children’s Trail. This is a public trail with twenty-two artworks honouring children’s stories. This is something to explore for small people with big imaginations. There are also farms, parks, historic sites, breweries and games and entertainment centres that will make a visit to this town quite an experience.
