Moreton-in-Marsh, a Major Market Town in the Northern Cotswold located in the County of Gloucestershire, England
Moreton-in-Marsh is a civil parish and town in the northeastern part of the English County of Gloucestershire. The town sits at the crossroads of the A44 and the A429 which used to be the Fosse Way Roman Road. The area is almost flat and low-lying as compared to the surrounding Cotswold Hills. The main waterway in the town is the River Evenlode which surges near Batsford, flows around the border of the town and rambles towards Oxford, where it empties into the Thames east of Eynsham.

Moreton was a traveller's’ town and a coaching station before the opening of the Oxford to Worcester railway in 1853. Thus, hotels, inns, pubs, restaurants, tea shops and other accommodations such as holiday cottages and B & Bs are found in the surrounding area. A popular camping and caravan site is also located on the outskirt of town. At present, there is a busy market of more than 200 stalls every Tuesday in the town's marketplace.

Visitors will never run out of things to see and do in Moreton. At the high street, beautiful 18th Century Inns and houses including the Redesdale Market Hall built in 1997 can be found. There is also the 16th Century Curfew Tower, most probably, the oldest building in this town.
The town is also famous for its fabulous gardens such as the Batsford Arboretum with shrubs, trees, and plants from all over the world. There is also the Bourton House Garden, the most award-winning garden in Cotswold. Another claim to fame of Moreton is the Cotswold Falconry Centre, the best bird watching area in all of England.
