Windsor is an unparished area and a historic market town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in the English County of Berkshire. Its claim to fame is the Windsor Castle, one of the many homes of the British Royal Family. This town is the new Windsor since there is an old village of the same name some 2 miles to the south which is older by 300 years. In 1969 the old town was twinned with a town in Lower Saxony, Germany called Goslar which is also 1000 years old.
